Center for Research and Treatment of Down Syndrome
Services Provided: Scientists in the Garner laboratory at Stanford University have recently published some exciting findings regarding improved cognitive performance in a mouse model of Down syndrome. Using several different drugs, scientists were able to restore cognitive performance in mice to almost normal levels.

The Down Syndrome Research Foundation was formed in 1995 in response to the need, expressed by parents and professionals, for detailed and research-based information for themselves and for the community at large. Although based in British Columbia, the DSRF, but using technology to reach out to the community has found an audience across Canada and the U.S.

Services provided: Dr. Skotko is best known for his research on post natal diagnosis of Down syndrome. His website will provide past study results and how to participate in current studies.
