Breastfeeding Babies with Down Syndrome
Join Jill Rabin, SLP, IBCLC and Rachel Murphy, RN, IBCLC for a dynamic webinar about breastfeeding babies with Down syndrome. Topics include why breastfeeding is uniquely important for babies with Down syndrome and how to manage low tone, excessive sleepiness, medical complexities, establishing supply, and identifying and tapping into resources prenatally.
Presenter:
Jill Rabin, M.S. CCC-SLP/L IBCLC specializes in working with infants to 3-year-old children with Down syndrome. She has lectured nationally and internationally on breastfeeding and adapted baby-led weaning for young babies with Down syndrome. She is a consultant for Julia's Way through the MDSC National Parents First Call Center and a co-moderator of the monthly breastfeeding support group.
