Behavioral challenges can impede a child's independence in different settings, impacting their ability to complete simple tasks such as bathing and dressing at home. Parents can create intervention plans by understanding triggers for certain behavioral challenges, enabling them to tackle issues before they escalate.

Presenter:
Angela Reid, a dedicated advocate with 25 years of experience, educates on Down syndrome. She obtained degrees in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis. Angela advocates for full inclusion in education and has presented at conferences. Angela trains educators and BCBA's, created the Texas School Threat Assessment protocol, and holds various certifications in education and behavior analysis.
