Prenatal Down Syndrome Diagnosis
We understand that receiving a prenatal Down syndrome diagnosis can be a daunting and uncertain time. At DSALA, our team acknowledges your concerns and aims to provide you with accurate information promptly. Our goal is to equip you with knowledge about Down syndrome, empowering you to make informed decisions in the days ahead. We offer a comprehensive packet of materials to help you better grasp what to expect and are here to answer any questions you may have openly and without judgment, supporting you and your choices throughout.
If you have received a tentative pre-diagnosis of Down syndrome and opted out of an amniocentesis, we are here to stand by you through your pregnancy and beyond, offering our support whenever you need it. Whether your baby has Down syndrome or not, we welcome all new additions to our community.
Additionally, we have connections with organizations that specialize in placing children with Down syndrome in nurturing adoptive homes. Many of these organizations have waiting lists of parents eager to adopt a child with Down syndrome. These prospective parents often have firsthand experience raising a child with DS or have close connections with individuals who have children with Down syndrome.
We welcome calls from grandparents and other concerned family and friends.
